Parent Voice - Have Your Say

YOUR VOICE MATTERS: We’re always happy to hear your questions, comments and concerns as we continually look for ways to improve our school to make it the best it possibly can be for our pupils – your children.

One of the ways that you can share your thoughts with us is through our ‘Valuing Parent Voice’ questionnaire, the last of which was completed in October 2019, and we are delighted to see the positive feedback and suggestions for further improvements. Thank you for taking the time to complete this for us.

The table below indicates key areas in which we received a high % of respondents who chose either ‘Strongly Agree’ or ‘Agree’:

% who Agreed or Strongly Agreed

My child is happy at school

My child feels safe at school

My child is learning well and making good progress

My child is well looked after at this school

The school helps my child to develop skills in communication, reading, writing and mathematics

Staff are friendly and approachable

The school makes sure its pupils are well behaved

What You Said

  • ‘The school has a harmonious relationship internally vis a vis student/student; student/teacher; teacher/teacher and management.’
  • ‘The staff teach the kids about literally everything!’
  • ‘The school is very transparent about the services they provide – very helpful when dealing with student issues and family matters.’
  • ‘Teachers and LSA’s do amazing work with children. I am so proud of how my child’s confidence has grown. I have seen a massive improvement in his writing and maths skills. Thank you.’
  • ‘Teachers communicate well with parents about children’s progress and concerns.’
  • ‘The teachers show real passion in their work.’

What We Could Be Doing Even Better

  • Improve communication between parents (parent-parent rather than school-parent)
  • Continue to help children manage their conflict with others
  • Further enrichment/ variation in after school clubs
  • Further opportunities for family learning

Thank you for this feedback. We shall be in touch soon to let you know how we’re getting on with these actions! However, we also know that sometimes parents can have questions or concerns; it is really important that you share these with us as well.

You can also give your views on the school directly to Ofsted via the online Parent Views questionnaire. You can access the questionnaire at the following link:
