Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to New North Academy. Our school is a modern, forward-thinking learning community in the heart of Islington, London. Our children are ambitious and animated learners who are supported by a caring and passionate staff team who strive to ensure that every child feels safe, valued and has everything they need to become successful, lifelong learners. We learn through constant engagement, challenge and support, and this is as true of our staff as it is of our children.

In our most recent Ofsted inspection, our school was awarded the ‘Good’ grading and was praised for the friendly atmosphere that staff have created for the children, our broad curriculum and for our commitment to celebrating difference and diversity.

We are proud to be one of the schools in the Learning in Harmony Trust, making us part of an even bigger team where we can share skills and knowledge and continue to make New North an even better place to learn and thrive.
