Extended Provision & Shine on Saturday

Our Breakfast and After Smarter Clubs are an integral part of the Extended Provision provided at The New North Academy.

We provide high-quality childcare for children aged 5-11 years in a safe and stimulating environment. Healthy meals and snacks are provided and activities are planned to meet the needs of the individual child.

You may be able to access financial assistance towards the costs of this service, through Working Tax Credit; a College or NHS bursary; or through one of the “back to work” schemes.

Breakfast Club: 8 – 9am. Entrance is through the Academy gates, please press the buzzer and a member of staff will open the gate. The fee to attend breakfast club is £3 per session per child.

After Smarter Club: 3.10 – 5.45pm. Parents can collect children by pressing the buzzer at the main Academy gate. The fee to attend After Smarter Club is currently £6 per session.

The provision closes at 5.45pm and children need to be collected before then. Any parent of children collected after 6pm will be fined £5 per 15 minutes.

If you wish to book your child into Breakfast or After Smarter Clubs, please contact the main school office.

Shine on Saturday

The New North Academy are delighted to have built a partnership with The Richard Reeves Foundation and secured additional funding (£135,000) in order to offer children in our school and community a Saturday school provision that we call Shine on Saturday.
This is an innovative and exciting Saturday School for 60 children in Years 4-6 who attend both New North Academy & Rotherfield Primary School.
SHINE on Saturday aims to raise achievement in core academic subjects through high-quality, creative and practical learning. We plan blocks of learning that foster a sense of curiosity, enjoyment and fun. It is a unique project.
Learning is delivered in blocks with exciting themes and we have found that these additional opportunities have helped to broaden children’s life experiences and raised their expectations of what they can and will achieve in the future.
For more information about your child joining our SHINE on Saturday school please contact the main office at NNA.
