New North Academy

Find your true north

Welcome from our headteacher

I am passionate about learning, the talents of young children and believe that everyone ‘can’ with the right support, encouragement and inspiration achieve beyond their wildest expectations!

Here at NNA we very much believe in promoting a strong family atmosphere, where children feel safe and happy, sharing positive relationships with the adults and peers they work and learn alongside. Ensuring children achieve highly academically is the core purpose of our school, but we ensure that this success is based on a solid grounding of good, honest values.

I very much look forward to meeting you and your son or daughter very soon and introducing you to our team, and most importantly, our children.

REMOTE LEARNING

Information about our remote learning offer can be found here.

THURSDAY 14th JANUARY 2021

New North is now open to vulnerable pupils and children of key workers. These families have now been contacted but if you believe you should be on the list, please email info@newnorth.lihtrust.uk.

REMOTE LEARNING: Our Remote Learning Guidance for Parents details how we are meeting Government expectations for remote learning during this period of school closure and draws on best practice advice from the DfE, OfSTED and the Education Endowment Fund. You can access the guidance here

Children are expected to log on to a Google Meet register at the start of the day, before completing work set in their classroom and joining feedback meetings at different times.

The easiest and safest way to access the Google Meetings is through the link on your Class stream page in Google Classroom. This is how to access the meetings using Google Classroom on a web browser and this is how to access the meetings using the Google Classroom app.

For class timetables, go to 'Curriculum' and 'Remote Learning' or click here
