We are pleased to announce that at the end of the 2017-18 academic year The New North Academy have achieved 60% in the combined (Reading, Writing and Maths) results for KS2. This is broadly line with the national average. This is in line with the interim national average. This is fantastic for our pupils and families, and shows the quality and calibre of our teaching team. End of EYFS and KS1 results have been very strong again this year where we are consistently either in line with or above National averages. Details of our results across the whole school are available in the drop down menu to the right of this page – Results for the Academic Year 2017 – 18. Please do enjoy looking through them. We love data at New North Academy and would be more than happy to talk to you about any aspect of our results or assessment practices if you would like to know more. Our Assessment Leaders are Mrs Stephanie Thomas, Mrs Dulcie Sharp and Mr Richard Dunn.

An Ofsted is just one way in which we gain a report on standards and children’s experiences in our school. As a school, we commit a great deal of time in reviewing standards. It is important that our school team, including our governors, understand exactly what we’re great at but also where our priorities lie so we can be even better. To do this we monitor and moderate across the school regularly, share information openly with governors and look to work with professionals in other schools or agencies to share practice and compare our work. In September 2016 Ofsted judged us to be a GOOD school. Please browse the associated downloads in the menu to the right of this page to read our report.
